We never talk about fair use vs. copyright infringement when the commercial and market effects are positive.
It bothers me that we live in a society where the most important things, information, art, inventions, etc., are not open, but fixed to single individuals seeking reward into perpetuity for something that most likely someone else thought of as well. We live in a world with billions of people, and yet we are so individualistic and money driven that people now own ideas, lyrics, thoughts that could literally change the world if shared with the many.
