revolution

In my most recent classroom discussion, I mention the role of revolution in overthrowing the old in favor of new systems. "I'm very excited by the idea of a technological revolution," I wrote. "Revolution being an overthrow of a social order in favor of a new system. I would hope that this revolution includes a change of the existing ways technology is developed in our society today.
I hope that ethics and morality are more integrated in the future of technology, as it has the ability to change our lives for the better if done correctly, and if always done for the betterment of humanity."

It is my personal opinion that the so-called technological revolution is always in a state of constant. Every day is part of the revolution, since technology is changing and evolving possibly everyday. It is my hope that as technology changes, so do we as humans using it. If we don't consider the implications of technology on the future, we may fall into the trap of creating our own destruction.
